Sonepar (Société de Négoce et de Participation) is a French group, leader in the distribution of electrical equipment, solutions and associated services, founded in 1969 by Henri Coisne, and still owned by the Coisne and Lambert families. In 2008, the integration of major assets from Hagemeyer strengthened its global reach.
In 2020, Sonepar generated sales of €23 billion. The group has 45,000 employees in 100 commercial banners and 2,800 branches in 40 countries. Marie-Christine Coisne-Roquette is Chairman of the Sonepar Group and Philippe Delpech is its Chief Executive Officer. Sonepar generates 80% of its sales from electrical equipment for the construction industry.
